Multisite Ultimate 2.4.0-beta is ready for testing
PRE-RELEASE – DO NOT USE IN PRODUCTION
This release represents changes to almost every code file, so there are likely to be bugs.
This is the first release where Multisite Ultimate adds significant value. Major optimisations and support for newer WordPress versions have been added.
Please help by testing this release. You can download the plugin’s installation zip from the github release page.
Changes
- Update translation text domain
- Escape everything that should be escaped.
- Add nonce checks where needed.
- Sanitise all inputs.
- Apply code style changes across the codebase.
- Correct many deprecation notices.
- Optimise the load order of many filters.
- Add proper build script
- Use emoji flags
- Fix i18n deprecation notice for translating too early
- Put all scripts in the footer and load asynchronously
Backwards compatibility breaks
This is the first release to have BC breaks because the text domain was updated. Anyone with custom translations will need to update them to use the new text domain. Also, existing translations will not be shipped in the build files here, but will eventually be served on wordpress.org, so they will be downloaded only when needed.
