Why we publish this
A platform’s headline price is rarely its real cost. Per-site fees on hosted WaaS products silently compound — by the time you have 100 customer sites you may be paying more in platform fees than you make in subscriptions. Self-hosted multisite has the opposite shape: most of the cost is fixed, so each new customer site adds margin instead of consuming it.
This calculator is intentionally simple — it ignores your operator margin, customer churn, and acquisition cost. It does what published vendor calculators rarely do: it shows the total platform cost across three years for a given site count.
Numbers are estimates based on published pricing as of May 2026. For binding decisions, verify current vendor pricing and your specific underlying hosting cost. We are happy to be wrong here — if you spot an error or stale figure, tell us and we will update.
